Rohit Sharma buries retirement talks in viral video

Rohit Sharma’s response to a question from the crowd regarding his retirement plans was followed by deafening cheers as the Indian skipper buried talks of retiring from cricket any time soon.

After leading India to a thrilling victory over South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2024 final, Rohit announced that he will no longer be playing T20Is.

This led to several speculations if Rohit was considering retirement from white-ball cricket by quitting ODIs as well.

“I don’t look far ahead. So clearly you will see me playing at least for a while,” Rohit said in a public appearance at a promotional event in the USA.
