Dubai: After the Pakistan Cricket Board revealed a provisional schedule for the upcoming 2025 Champions Trophy, eyebrows were raised as they did not consult the ICC or the BCCI before making it public. Now, there are speculations that India will continue it’s stance of not playing cricket in Pakistan. Amid all the speculations, there is a report in the Express Tribune which claims that the ICC will consider the hybrid model and in all likelihood India will play it’s games in Dubai. The Indian cricket team hasn’t toured Pakistan in 16 years now. The last time India went there was for the Asia Cup 2008.

As per the same report, everything would be discussed and finalised during ICC’s annual conference in Colombo from July 19-22.

Also, it needs to be noted that the report further suggested that a ‘contingency budget’ is being considered for the Champions Trophy, if the matches are shifted out of Pakistan.
