The Ministry of Health in Gaza has announced that at least 90 Palestinians were killed and over 300 others injured following an Israeli airstrike in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.
Reuters reported on July 13th that the attacks targeted Mohammed Zayed, a Hamas commander in the Al-Mawasi area.
The Israeli military has described this attack as “very significant” and “high-profile,” stating that its target was a Hamas commander in Khan Younis.
According to reports, the wounded from this incident were transferred to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis and the Kuwaiti Desert in Rafah.
It is noteworthy that Al-Mawasi in southern Gaza has been designated by Israel as a secure zone, where approximately 1.5 million Palestinians reside, according to UNRWA.
While the United Nations and human rights organizations have accused Israel of “human rights violations” and “war crimes” in Gaza, Israeli attacks continue in the region.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, since Israel attacked Gaza, more than 38,000 Palestinians have been killed in the clashes.
Meanwhile, Palestinian rescue groups also announced that following the Israeli forces’ withdrawal from Gaza City, the bodies of at least 60 people have been found in the city.
The ongoing conflict continues to take a heavy toll on civilian lives and infrastructure, with international calls for ceasefires and humanitarian interventions intensifying.
