The customer, who described the print as ”cute”, also agreed that the nightwear set was also ”comfy”, as others flocked to tag their pals in the video.

One confessed jokingly: ”At this point, I have more Sainsburys pyjamas than actual clothes.”

Someone else couldn’t stop praising the adorable garments, writing: ”I have them and they are so so comfy.”

”I need them,” another chimed in, keen to snap up a pair of the 100% viscose pyjamas.

”These are ICONIC,” a fourth remarked.

”Omg, they are a MUST,” a fellow shopper will be popping down to the local Sainsbury’s too.

Is supermarket fashion the new high street?

DEPUTY Fashion Editor Abby McHale weighs in:

The supermarkets have really upped their game when it comes to their fashion lines. These days, as you head in to do your weekly food shop you can also pick up a selection of purse-friendly, stylish pieces for all the family.

Tesco has just announced a 0.7 per cent increase in the quarter thanks to a ‘strong growth in clothing’ and M&S has earnt the title of the number one destination for womenswear on the high street.

Asda’s clothing line George has made £1.5 million for the supermarket in 2023, 80 per cent of Sainsbury’s clothes sold at full price rather than discounted and Nutmeg at Morrisons sales are also up 2 per cent in the past year.

So what is it about supermarket fashion that is becoming so successful?

Apart from the clothing actually being affordable, it’s good quality too – with many being part of schemes such as the Better Cotton Initiative.

A lot of the time they keep to classic pieces that they know will last the customer year after year.

Plus because they buy so much stock they can turn around pieces quickly and buy for cheaper because of the volumes.

Recently, the popular supermarket sent fans into a frenzy with their ”elite” croissant print PJs, which are also selling for £20.

In a traditional style, the set comes with one long sleeve PJ shirt and one pair of pyjama bottoms- what better way to start a morning with a relaxing breakfast.

This adorable number, which is already running low in a number of sizes, will give shoppers a whopping 20 points on your Nectar card – what a win.

Need more convincing to check out Sainsbury’s fabulous nightwear collection? Stylish customers have also been loving their affordable PJ range that’s said to be giving ”coastal summer vibes”.

One such hit, Tu White Broderie Hem Traditional Pyjamas, have been slashed from £20 to £15 – and there’s another favourite fashion fans have been going wild over.

Tu Blue Stripe Traditional Pyjamas are the brand’s second best seller and are going for £13.50, down from £18.
