Sensex, Nifty updates on July 15, 2024: The stock market saw record highs on Monday, with both the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty reaching new peaks. The Sensex closed at 80,664.86, marking a 0.18% increase, while the Nifty settled at 24,586.70, a 0.35% surge. This uptrend was fuelled by fresh foreign fund inflows and vigorous performance by State Bank of India. Notable gainers on the Sensex included State Bank of India, NTPC, UltraTech Cement, and Bajaj Finance. On the other hand, Asian Paints, Tata Steel, and Axis Bank witnessed declines. Foreign Institutional Investors made substantial equity purchases, acquiring stocks worth Rs 4,021.60 crore. In global markets, Asian and European markets showed mixed results, while US markets closed positively on Friday. Additionally, the global oil benchmark Brent crude saw a 0.18% increase, reaching USD 85.15 per barrel during the trading session.
