And one woman has revealed the unconventional method her mother came up with to name her sister.

Taking to Reddit, the woman explained that her mum had made up an original name for her sister, by combining the name of her favourite actress, and a brand of cheesy snacks.

The woman revealed: “My mum named my sister after Cheez-Its and a celebrity.

“My sister’s name is Cheezka.

“She was named after an actress who goes by ‘Francesca’ and because my mum’s friend gave her a box of Cheez-Its as a baby shower gift.”

Cheez-Its is a brand of American cheese-flavoured crackers.

The post was flooded with responses from Reddit users, many of whom were in shock at the unique name.

One person said: “Literally one of the worst names I’ve heard in my life”.

Another person said: “I wish I could give an award for what is undoubtedly the worst name I have ever heard.

“There are no words to describe it, she’s named after a junk food.

“It sounds like someone tried to say Jessica but was too drunk to get the word out. Shame on your mother.”

A third person said: “The fact her name is an inside joke is honestly heart breaking.

“I couldn’t imagine living knowing my name came about because of such little effort or consideration, but a box of crackers”.

A fourth person added: “Cheezka is like the kind of nickname a toddler comes up with because pronouncing “Francesca” is too hard for them.”
