‘Did you see his face?’ say Love Island fans as they work out real reason Ciaran asked Nicole to be his girlfriend
IN a heartfelt and surprising speech, Love Island’s Ciaran Davies invited Nicole Samuel to be his girlfriend, during the recoupling ceremony with their Casa Amor housemates present.
But despite what appeared to be a genuine outpouring of emotion, fans believe that Ciaran 21,has made a strategic move in light of the Sean Stone , 23, and Matilda Draper, 24, becoming an item, as he’s keen to boost his chances of entering the final.
Sean and Matilda officially rekindled their romance after a turbulent on/ off time together.
The pair left the villa, speeding off in a white porshe, with Sean at the wheel for a romantic date, where Sean posed the all- important question.
But viewers are now suggesting that Ciaran feels the pressure to couple up to increase his chances of winning the show.
One said: “I couldn’t help by notice Ciaran’s face when Sean told him he made it exclusive. Maybe he thought he better make her his girlfriend, or he thought I need to step this up before the final.”
Another said: “Unpopular opinion, but Ciaran literally only asked Nicole to be boyfriend and girlfriend because Sean did it before in the morning cos why do it in the recoupling”

But it seems that Ciaran is right to be wary of Sean who some say seems to be favoured by the producers.
Never in the show’s’ history have a couple been gifted a convertible sports car to zoom into the sunset.
The couple then enjoyed a picturesque dinner by the sea as they talked over their romantic journey in Casa Amor.
Indeed, the scenes were enough to convince viewers that Sean and Matilda are the golden couple.
Writing on social media, one fan said: “Sean and Matilda get a flashy car for their date!? Definitely an agenda to get them into the final for sure.”
Another viewer added: “Sean really thinks he’s going to see h the final with Matilda. ‘My antics in casa’. bro for real.”
The couple have also had a windy journey to romance, which is always a hit with the viewers.
At one point fans were concerned that they were damaged goods, after Sean shamelessly flirted with other women.
On two occasions he kissed Casa Amor girl, Diamante with whom he shared a bed.
He was also seen “enjoying this experience for what it is” calling Diamanté his “priority”.
After the clip finished, Sean tried to brush it off as “nothing new”, but Matilda hit back, saying he downplayed what he’d said to Diamanté despite her giving him the opportunity to be honest.
However now that Sean has asked Matilda to be ‘exclusive’ it seems that the pair are heading towards their happy ending.
So time will tell whether Ciaran and Nicole can go the distance or whether the coupling was part of a cunning plan to curry favour with the public and the producers.
