14-year-old shot, killed in NW Oklahoma City

A teen was shot and killed in northwest Oklahoma City Monday morning.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - A teen was shot and killed in northwest Oklahoma City Monday morning.

According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, the incident happened in a neighborhood near NW 122nd St. and Western Ave. around 1:40 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers found an injured 14-year-old girl in a front yard. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she later passed away.

"At this time, we are talking to witnesses," said Lt. Jeff Cooper with OKCPD. "Several suspects did run from the scene and we do have Air 1 and our K9s on the ground looking for the suspects at this time."

Police say they do not have suspect descriptions at this time.
