Grocery store jobs in NY, NJ: ShopRite, Fairway Market hiring

NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – Looking for work? A slew of supermarkets are hiring across New York and New Jersey this month. 

On July 27, ShopRite, Price Rite Marketplace, The Fresh Grocer, Gourmet Garage and Fairway Market locations will host job fairs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Select locations across a few states will offer immediate interviews for full- and part-time jobs. 

The jobs range from general, front end, stocking and managerial positions, many with flexible hours, according to the stores’ parent company Wakefern. 

Once on the job, workers can get access to training programs, tuition discounts and scholarship opportunities.

At ShopRite, some open jobs include a baker, bakery clerk, bagger, assistant manager trainee, deli clerk, bookkeeper, cake decorator and cashier. Pay generally ranges from $15-$18 per hour, with some managerial positions paying much more.
