Shakira Transforms Trendy Booties Into Pop Star-Ready Shoes for Halftime Performance at Copa America Final Match
Her shimmering boots were paired with a matching skirt and halter top set.
Shakira took the stage in Miami Gardens on July 14 to perform during halftime at the Copa America final match, in which her native country of Colombia faced off against Argentina. The singer-songwriter dazzled the crowd in glittering silver heeled boots, matching a skirt and halter top set.
Shakira was ready to wow her audience at Hard Rock Stadium not only with her performance but with her outfit. The “Hips Don’t Lie” hitmaker wore a metallic wrap miniskirt which included a minor slit on one side. The top and bottom of the skirt were adorned with rows of silver embellishments which lent additional texture and shine to the garment. Matching the material of her skirt, the pop star wore a sparkling halter top with a V-neck design. The shirt was mostly backless and left her sides exposed as well.
Unifying the mirror-ball monochrome look was a pair of shimmering boots that rose just above Shakira’s ankles. Almost the entire surface area of each boot was affixed with sparkling crystals. In terms of silhouette, the shoes featured a pointed toe and a block heel, offering Shakira a sturdy base as she danced and sang her way across the stage. Crystals were also interspersed across the metallic heel.
Shakira knows how to put on a show, and she never skimps when it comes to her performance wardrobe. When she skipped heels for a performance in Times Square in March, the “Whenever, Wherever” singer wore a pair of black Air Jordan sneakers with an accent of glitter running through it. For her memorable Super Bowl halftime performance alongside Jennifer Lopez in 2020, she wore custom-made boots affixed with 30,000 crystals courtesy of artist Daniel Jacob, aka Dan Life.
Shakira also selects bold footwear when it comes to her photo shoots and album art. On the cover of her recently released album “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran,” she wore a pair of towering silver platforms, identified as Giuseppe Zanotti’s Aida heels.
