Amazon slashes Ring doorbell rival to £35 in Prime Day deal – and you don’t need a subscription to save your videos
SHOPPERS can get their hands on a Ring doorbell alternative for just £35 as part of an Amazon Prime Day deal.
The retail giant has slashed the price of the battery-powered by 50 per cent – bringing it to what Amazon says is its lowest price ever.
The Full system Blink Video Doorbell is currently just £34.99, down from £69.99.
The video doorbell system has 1080p HD video, and infrared night footage, as well as two way audio.

The wire-free security product boasts up to two years of battery life.
You don’t have to remember to charge it, unlike Ring doorbells, which can take between five to 10 hours.
It has much of the same features as Ring doorbells, including compatibility with Amazon’s Alexa.
This means you can access Blink features through your Amazon Echo speaker.
Amazon owns both Ring and Blink, and bought them within just a year of one another.
How is Blink different from Ring?
Despite having one big parent company in common (Amazon), Blink and Ring do things differently.
Ring offers over a dozen different cameras.
Meanwhile Blink offers just four.
Blink also offers a way to store videos locally without a subscription.
However, Ring requires a Ring Protect plan to record at all.

Unlike Ring, you don’t need to have a subscription to save and store your footage.
While Blink does offer a subscription plan – and a 30 day free trial – devices have the ability to locally store video footage on a USB.
Shoppers can get a Blink doorbell as well as the Sync Module 2 and USB drive, which are sold separately.
