Limassol bar hosts week of music

Billy Jo Sports & Rock Bar in Limassol presents a music-filled week starting on Wednesday, hosting local bands on stage. Five days of live music are planned from Wednesday to Saturday. Opening the Music Week is an acoustic set by the Amiros and Demetris duo this Wednesday playing Greek rock and folk music.

On Thursday, a Mexican party will bring groovy Latin vibes to the bar. DJ Sosis will be on the decks creating a fiesta atmosphere while the bar serves Mexbeer and Mundo Tequila. While other events of the Music Week have an artist’s charge, this event has free entrance.

A group of young artists will take the stage next to present funky pop and rock tunes. Six musicians make up the Elder Teens band – Theophanis Michaelides, Yiangos Hadjivassiliou, Andreas Theocharous, Nandia Dedeletakis, Timotheos Ioannou and Raphael Demetriou – and they are getting ready to perform on Friday.

Up next will be the Sellas from Limassol and the Despoti brothers from Larnaca who will play punk rock and pop tunes all night long. The five-piece band’s repertoire includes songs by Green Day and 3 Doors Down to Chris Isaak. To end Billy Jo’s Music Week, Joakem and Elias Chrysochos, a Limassol duo, will play on Sunday, bringing classic, alternative, metal and progressive rock to the stage.
