She is ecstatic to be working down the road from where she grew up in Cobb County. Ashley attended Walton High School then went on to pursue a degree in meteorology from Mississippi State University. She has been awarded the Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology (CBM) which is the highest certification a meteorologist can obtain. Prior to joining Channel 2 Action News, Ashley was a morning meteorologist in Tyler, Texas tracking major tornado outbreaks along with Hurricane Harvey. She then spent some time in Baltimore covering ice and snowstorms. Most recently, Ashley worked in Charlotte as a weekend morning meteorologist. Ashley has always had a passion for weather.
