Fashion-Forward: Raymond Weil Introduces Millesime Automatic Small Seconds Denim Blue

Trousers, jacket and now wrist: Raymond Weil’s Millesime Automatic Small Seconds Denim Blue is the perfect companion for the all-denim look. The independent Geneva watchmaker has thus given the three-hand watch with small seconds, which won the Challenge Award at last year’s prestigious Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, a proverbial “cool” look-and-feel.

Denim is undoubtedly one of the most versatile materials in the fashion world. Developed in 1873 as robust workwear, over the decades this versatile fabric has developed into a fashionable all-rounder. It owes its popularity not only to its durability, but also to its adaptability to different styles and occasions. It is also legendary for its color spectrum, covering all hues of blue. The dial of the Millesime Automatic Small Seconds Denim Blue features a grayish blue, which beautifully accentuates the retro charm of the rare sector layout.

There are many more fascinating details to discover, such as the different finishes that distinguish the functions. For example, the minute ring displays an azuré style, the center has a vertical pattern, and the small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock is slightly recessed. In addition, the luminescent dial is framed by a slim bezel with a vertical cut and protected by a box-shaped sapphire crystal.

The stainless steel case of the Millesime Automatic Small Seconds Denim Blue measures 39.5mm in diameter and 10.25mm thick. Its case back is fitted with a sapphire crystal to reveal the automatic caliber RW4251 with a 41-hour power reserve.

The watch comes with a matching calfskin strap and is priced at approximately $2,200 when converted to USD. It is also available with a black and silver dial.
