‘Need to go to Tesco’ shoppers say as they rush to buy Yankee Candle gift set on sale with price slashed by 50%
CALLING all Yankee Candle fans! If you are looking to stock up on your favourite scents, you may be in luck.
Shoppers are racing to Tesco to take advantage of their sale, which has the popular candle brand discounted by 50 per cent.
The supermarket giant is selling half price Yankee Candle gift sets for just £20, when they had originally been £40.
On bargain hunter took to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK to show off what they had found.
They wrote: “£20 in Tesco with a club card. Usually £40.”
And if you are the organised type, you may want to set them aside ready for December, with the shopper adding: “Ideal for Christmas.”
The photo showed the gift set box, which includes six scented candles.
These are 1 x Lavender Beach 340g, 1 x Sweet Petals 200g, 1 x Pink Sands 37g, 1 x Red Raspberry 37, 1 x Sugared Blossom 104 and 1 x Yankee Clean Cotton Wax Melt 22g.
The post has racked up 371 likes, and people were impressed at the deal.
One shopper said they would be heading to Tesco to buy the discounted candles, saying: “need get these in for xmas for people.”
Another added: “I see them every time I go in Tesco lol I’m going to get myself one.”
Meanwhile a third commented: “need to go to tesco.”
Yankee Candles have boomed in popularity since their conception.
It was founded in 1974 by Mike Kittredge and the company now employs over 6,000 workers around the world.

What can I get with Tesco Clubcard?
TESCO'S Clubcard scheme allows shoppers to earn points as they shop.
These points can then be turned into vouchers for money off food at the supermarket, or discounts at other places like restaurants and days out.
Each time you spend £1 in-store and online, you get one point when you scan your Clubcard.
Drivers using the loyalty card get one point for every two litres spent on fuel.
One point equals 1p, so 150 points gets you a £1.50 money-off voucher, for example.
You can double their worth when you swap them for discounts with “reward partners”.
For example, £12 worth of vouchers can be swapped for a £24 three-month subscription to Disney+.
Or you can swap 50p worth of points for £1 to spend at Hungry Horse pubs.
Where you can spend them changes regularly, and you can check on the Tesco website what’s available now.
Tesco shoppers can also get Clubcard prices when they have the loyalty card.
The discounted items change regularly and without a Clubcard you’ll pay a higher price.
These Clubcard prices are usually labelled on shelves, along with the non-member price.
But it’s worth noting that just because it’s discounted doesn’t necessarily make it the cheapest around, and you should compare prices to find the best deal.
