A FOOTIE WAG has proved she’s still a high street girlie after bagging the perfect dress in Boohoo for just £19.
Ellie Butler is the childhood sweetheart of ex-Celtic midfielder Liam Shaw who signed a loan deal with Wigan Athletic last summer.
She regularly shares her shopping hauls and outfit creations with her army of followers on social media.
And while her dressing room is packed full of designer handbags and footwear, the down-to-earth Wag also loves a bargain buy.
In a recent video, the newly engaged blonde beauty bagged some pieces from Boohoo’s summer 2024 arrivals.
She picked up an on-trend leopard print maxi dress, two shirt and shorts co-ords for a trip to Italy, and a pink knitted maxi dress.
She also got an oversized Ibiza T-shirt, some noughties-inspired black pedal pushers, and a cream linen lounge set.
But it was a white maxi dress that made her do an online order in the first place.
She said: “This is the reason I did [a Boohoo] haul.
“I got engaged almost two months ago now so any nice white outfit that I see I’m like add to basket right now”
The satin and chiffon mix maxi dress is available in sizes 8-18 and boasts delicate spaghetti straps and a deep slit up the side.
It would usually set you back £32 but is currently in the sale for just £19.20.
Trying it on, Ellie gushed: “I love it. I just love the style of it.
“This would be a perfect engagement party outfit, a hen do outfit or if you just want a nice white dress for on holiday.
“I stayed true to size in this with a 10 and it fits really nice.
She added: “I love the little split detailing and how it goes mesh at the bottom.
“I just think it’s a really nice shape and looks quite expensive.”
She completed the look with a silver Zara bag and clear perspex heels.
Vlogger Ellie has been with her football ace beau since before his time at Celtic.
Liam, who has spent the last season on loan at Wigan Athletic, proposed to girlfriend Ellie during a holiday to Jamaica in May.
The childhood sweethearts got together when Liam was on the books at Sheffield Wednesday.
His time at Celtic hasn’t quite worked out on the pitch, with the 23-year-old having only played two games for the club since signing under Ange Postecoglou in 2021.
He had loan stints at Motherwell and Morecambe in previous seasons and despite the upheaval, he and Ellie have grown stronger.
Sharing news of their engagement accompanied by a pic of her huge diamond ring on social media, smitted Ellie said: “Always and forever.”
