West Bengal Panchayat department plans to set up marketing board for SHGs, FPOs

West Bengal's Panchayat department is set to launch a marketing board for SHGs and FPOs, targeting market linkages, capacity building, livelihoods, and research, pending state government approval. Secretary P Ulaganathan praised the IIM Kolkata-trained 150 SHG women, supported by IIM-Joka, for boosting their income; their products are now in New Delhi and Mumbai. The state aims for the highest number of Lakhpati Didis through active entrepreneurship programs.
