13-year-old victim identified after fatal shooting in NW Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City Police are investigating after a 13-year-old was shot and killed Monday morning.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Oklahoma City Police are investigating after a 13-year-old was shot and killed Monday morning.

Officials say officers responded to a home in the 700 block of NW 188th St. about a shooting. Upon arrival, they found 13-year-old A'moni Young with a gunshot wound. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she died.

According to OKCPD, Young died five days before her 14th birthday.

It is not clear what led to the shooting and no arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
