Police: Providence man arrested for planting surveillance camera

State Police arrested a Providence man on Monday for allegedly putting a surveillance camera in a former Saratoga County resident's home.

PROVIDENCE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- State Police arrested a Providence man on Monday for allegedly putting a surveillance camera in a former Saratoga County resident's home. Todd St Louis, 57, faces multiple charges.

  • Second-degree burglary
  • Second-degree unlawful surveillance

Troopers say they received a complaint on June 11 that while the victim was living in Saratoga County, they found a hidden surveillance camera inside their home. The investigation revealed that St Louis had entered the home multiple times without permission to plant a recording device without the victim knowing.

St Louis was arrested following the execution of a search warrant of his home in Providence and arraigned in Edinburg Town Court. He was then placed in Saratoga County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
