NORTH GREENBUSH, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The North Greenbush Police Department reported that an arrest was made on July 10 following an investigation into a domestic dispute. Daniel Marshall, of North Greenbush, is facing multiple charges.

On Wednesday night, police say Marshall allegedly damaged property at a home on Van Dyke Drive South in connection to a domestic issue. He reportedly fled the scene before officers arrived.

Intent on acquiring a warrant for Marshall's arrest if he didn't return to the residence that night, officers were eventually called back to the scene when the initial caller reported that Marshall had returned and was breaking more property. Upon the arrival of police, Marshall was taken into custody without incident around 7:14 p.m.

Marshall was arraigned at the North Greenbush Town Court and was released on his own recognizance. An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.

A few hours later, police responded to the same house around 10:18 p.m. following a call that Marshall had once again returned following his release and was allegedly breaking more property after engaging in a fight with a family member. Arriving officers arrested Marshall a second time without incident. He now faces the following charges:

  • Third-degree criminal mischief
  • Fourth-degree criminal mischief
  • Second-degree criminal contempt

Marshall was arraigned again at the North Greenbush Town Court before being remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail on $10,000 bail. He is scheduled to return to court at a later date.
