Fonda hosts water distribution events

The village of Fonda will continue distributing bottled water to residents on Tuesday.

FONDA, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- The village of Fonda will continue distributing bottled water to residents on Tuesday. Residents interested in participating can contact the village clerk's office to schedule a pickup from Village Park at 40 Park St.

The distribution will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Anyone who cannot attend can call the village clerk at (518) 853-4335 or email services@villageoffonda.ny.gov to schedule a pickup from the village municipal center.

The distribution of bottled water follows a weeks-long boil water notice issued on Thursday, June 27. The notice remains in effect until the village receives water quality results from their lab and tap water is safe for washing dishes, baths, and showers.

Residents with ongoing water discoloration should email services@villageoffonda.ny.gov with the subject line that notes water discoloration. The village water commissioner can track the transmission line issues and may schedule an appointment with residents who report water discoloration.
