Mainstream media pundits, major donors, Democrat congressmen, and even George Clooney have questioned President Joe Biden’s ability to serve another term.

Despite public speculation, the Democrats are scheduled to virtually nominate Biden as the official DNC candidate next week. This makes it increasingly difficult for the president to be replaced.

Ohio requires an official nomination of presidential candidates “on or before the ninetieth day before the day of the general election”  to appear on the state’s ballot.

Ohio’s certification deadline is August 7, but the in-person DNC nominating convention is scheduled for August 19.

On June 4, the DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee passed an emergency resolution to allow for the nomination of Biden to occur online before Ohio’s certification deadline. This measure was taken weeks before his disastrous debate, which exposed serious cognitive concerns and bolstered his disapproval rating.

Now, in just six days, on July 21, Biden is expected to be virtually nominated as the DNC’s official presidential nominee.

It is worth noting that the DNC passed this emergency resolution specifically to nominate Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris because they won the 2024 Democratic primary.

Biden has repeatedly declared that he will not withdraw his candidacy. The DNC cannot formally force him to withdraw. But if the Democrats pressure him to exit before the nomination, it would be nearly impossible to choose a new candidate in such a short period.

The clock is ticking. Within just six days, Democrats will either stand by Biden and risk everything on a spiraling campaign, or make a bold move to replace the sitting president in a last-ditch effort to unify the party.
