Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello Are Hanging Out Again
They were spotted sitting next to each other at the Copa América final on Sunday. Is the third time the charm for these two?
There’s nothing like a little fútbol to reunite one of Gen Z’s most on-again, off-again couples. Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello were spotted together on Sunday, watching the Copa América final in Miami.

While this video does just look like two people sitting next to each other and chatting, you can never really tell with these two. Mendes and Cabello first started dating back in 2019, and since then, their relationship has been a bit of a roller coaster. There was a lot of PDA, they went on their now-iconic (to me, at least) lethargic quarantine strolls, and it gave Cher. But in 2021, the couple broke up for the first time, which they announced via matching Instagram posts.
Then, last year, the two were spotted making out at Coachella. The couple was back on and even had a “cuddly” date night at the Eras Tour in New Jersey. These two are obsessed with finding love in a hopeless place! However, they went dark shortly after the concert. A few months later, Mendes was photographed several times with a woman named Charlie Travers. Cabello would eventually go Jet Skiing with Drake. Things seemed to be really over this time — Shawmila shippers wept.
But here they are, back together again. Maybe they’re actually just friends this time. Maybe the third time’s the charm for these two, and they’re in it for the long haul. Or maybe Mendes heard “I Luv It” and wanted advice for pivoting his career into a Spring Breakers–inspired mode. Fingers crossed it’s that one.
