Biden calls Vance a 'clone of Trump on the issues' as campaigning resumes

US President Joe Biden called Ohio Senator J D Vance, who was tapped Monday as GOP nominee Donald Trump's vice-presidential pick, a "clone of Trump on the issues" as his reelection prepared to resume the full-throttle campaigning after the assassination attempt on former President Trump.

He left for the battleground state after being interviewed by Lester Holt of NBC News, a session set to air on the network Monday evening.
