'Smash' Finally Added to Peacock Streaming Service Ahead of Broadway Musical Premiere in 2025

The fan-favorite musical TV series Smash is being added to streaming!

The series ran for two season on NBC between 2012 and 2013, but unfortunately was canceled due to low viewership. The show has remained a cult favorite over the years and now NBCUniversal’s streaming service Peacock is giving fans a new way to watch the beloved show.

Smash followed the behind-the-scenes drama about the making of a Broadway musical based on the life of Marilyn Monroe. Katharine McPhee and Megan Hilty played the two actresses who competed for the lead role in the musical, one of them a newcomer with no professional credits and the other a longtime chorus girl finally hoping to land her first starring role.

Debra Messing, Christian Borle, Anjelica Huston, and Jack Davenport rounded out the cast with Jennifer Hudson, Uma Thurman, and more making guest appearances.

A Broadway musical based on the TV series is in the works and is slated to premiere in 2025!
