WATCH: Jalon Daniels talks with K-Nation at Big 12 media days

LAS VEGAS (KSNT) - KU quarterback Jalon Daniels is gearing up for what he, and Jayhawk fans, are hoping is a full 2024 season.

Daniels played in just six games in 2022 and three in 2023 due to injury. Click here for more on KU's hopes/ plans to keep him healthy as a senior.

"It's a gift from God to be able to be back on the field," Daniels said. "When things aren't going your way on the field, I start thinking back like 'I would've wished I was here last year.' When you start thinking about these workouts where you're tired, dog tired, remember that you couldn't do that not long ago. So, when you think about it that way, it's a blessing to do it."

Daniels is challenged with cutting back workload when necessary to stay healthy, despite his competitive drive which lends a desire to go all-out all the time.

"Listening to the doctors, to the trainers, to the coaching staff to how many reps they want me to get," Daniels said. "If my team is out there I want to do it. I don't want to skip any reps... but at the end of the day you have to be cautious because we need to play 12 games..."

Daniels says it's been amazing to see his teammates in the wide receiver room steadily grow. The extended one-on-one chat aired in Sunday's edition of K-Nation. Click here for the full episode.
