K-State infielder selected in 10th round of MLB draft
MANHATTAN (KSNT) - Wildcat infielder Brady Day has the opportunity to take his talents to the next level.
Day, a redshirt junior, was selected in the tenth round, No. 312 overall, by the Philadelphia Phillies. He is the fourth Wildcat to be drafted in 2024, following teammates Kaelen Culpepper, Tyson Neighbors and Jackson Wentworth.
He returned to K-State for the 2024 season after being drafted in the 12th round by the Atlanta Braves in 2023.
In his 2024 campaign, Day recorded a .318 batting average, 75 hits, 56 RBIs and nine home runs. He also contributed an aggressive approach on the basepaths, tallying 16 stolen bases in 2024 and 26 total in his three-year career at K-State.
Day was an integral piece of K-State baseball's 2024 NCAA tournament run, which ended in Charlottesville, VA in the super regional.
