Students start returning to school on Wednesday, Aug. 7.

LAFAYETTE PARISH, La. (KLFY)-- Lafayette Parish School System students will have staggered start dates for the 2024-25 school year.

Students start returning to school on Wednesday, Aug. 7. Students that have an odd home address will be scheduled to come to school on the designated A-days, and those with an even home address will be expected to attend on designated B-days.

Here are the designated start dates based on grade levels:

Wednesday, Aug. 7

• pre-K- 5th grade (A-day)
• Eighth grade
• 11th and 12th grades

Thursday, Aug. 8

• pre-K- 5th grade (B-day)
• Seventh grade
• 10th grade

Friday, Aug. 9

• pre-K and K (A-day)
• All first-fifth grades
• Sixth grade
• Ninth grade

Monday, Aug. 12

• pre-K and K (B-day)
• All first-12th grades

Tuesday, Aug. 13

• pre-K- 12th grades
