APD identifies victim in deadly northeast Austin stabbing

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department identified a man who died in a stabbing in northeast Austin early Friday morning.

APD said officers arrived at a home on Grayledge Drive around 4:02 a.m. on July 12 and found the body of a man, later identified as Edgar Yudiel Granados, 31.

The initial caller told police that someone had been stabbed and the person possibly involved ran from the home, the release said.

Police said it's still early in the investigation and the investigation is ongoing. This case is being investigated as Austin's 33rd homicide this year.
 
Anyone with information should call the Austin Police Department at 512-974-TIPS. Tips can be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or by calling 512-472-8477. A reward up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest.
