‘Gives you a soft glow’ Aldi fans say about new tanning range spotted in the Middle Aisle & prices start from £2.99
SHOPPERS are going totally wild over Aldi’s brand new tanning line, which lets you achieve a bronzed glow for as little as £2.99.
The popular discount supermarket has long been known for their purse-friendly versions of cult favourite products – and their new fake tan range is said to be a dupe of posh Aussie Bondi Sands.
That’s right, if you’re on the lookout for the ultimate sun-kissed complexion without spending a fortune, you may want to pop down to the local Aldi.
The retailer has expanded their Lacura beauty range, now offering a great variety of products that will help you achieve the perfect tan – all for under a fiver.
Amongst the tanning essentials are two face mists, including their Lacura Night Shine Tanning Mist that will set you back £2.99 a bottle.
According to Aldi bosses, the product contains ”ingredients that offer a hydrating finish” and is a must to ”add to your skincare routine for a touch of luxury”.
As it’s a 100ml spray bottle, this little number is ideal to take with you no matter where you go – whether it’s heading to the airport for travels or booking a mini getaway in the UK countryside.
Similarly, the Lacura Day Glimmer Tanning Mist also retails for £2.99 a bottle.
Enriched with hydrating glycerine, hyaluronic acid and refreshing rosemary oil, this tinted coral bottle contains 100ml of pure goodness to ”get that summer glow” – even on those 50 days for rain Brits are set to experience this soggy season.
Meanwhile, if you’re a fake tan fan like we, the team at Fabulous, are, you will be delighted to hear that the supermarket has also added Lacura Gradual Tan Body Butter to their ever-growing collection.
Priced at an affordable £3.99, this gradual tanning lotion boasts a buildable formula that ”will help you achieve a summer glow all year round”.
Aldi bosses said: ”Top up your tan whilst maintaining super soft skin with the ultra-hydrating formula, offering a touch of luxury at home.”
What’s more, the bargain buy – which contains 200ml of the product – is infused ”with avocado and peppermint oil to keep skin moisturised”.
An added bonus is also the illuminating shimmer that will leave you looking like a bronzed goddess – what more could you ask for?
Needless to say, the range has already become a major hit amongst shoppers, who reckon the collection is a ”dupe” of Bondi Sands.
Best beauty dupes

REAL: Milk Make-up Hydro-Grip Primer, £35 DUPE: E.l.f. Power Grip Primer, £10. These two share a similar green hue, as well as the same long-wearing, mattifying properties – although, E.l.f’s is so popular it’s just as hard to get hold of.
REAL: Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick, £28 DUPE: L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Satin Lipstick Beige A Nu, £8.99. The shades of these two lipsticks are virtually identical on the lips, although while Charlotte Tilbury’s is matte, the L’Oreal Paris Lipstick has a satin finish – which actually makes it more comfortable if you’re wearing all day.
REAL: Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation, £40 DUPE: Collection Lasting Perfection Matte Foundation, £6.99. While they don’t look alike from the outside, the formula, consistency and staying power of both foundations is pretty similar – unfortunately, the Collection only comes in 20 shades vs Estee Lauder’s 60 options.
REAL: Glossier Boy Brow, £20 DUPE: Essence Make Me Brow Gel, £2.50. There’s a whole Reddit thread dedicated to this dupe, so you know it’s got to be good. They both have a waxy consistency and added fibres to make brows look fuller. I have to say, the shade range is far better with Boy Brow, but if you’re brunette, there’s plenty of Essence shade options to try.

One customer, Kat Sweet, took to Facebook to share a snap of the goodies she’d spotted at her store, writing: ”Not sure what dupe these are but tanning stuff in middle aisle in Aldi.”
Dozens of fellow users of the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group raced to comments to tag their pals, as well as share their verdict on the bargain finds.
One happy customer wrote: ”I’m using that gradual tan and it gives you a soft glow. I like it.”
Someone else was praising the affordable products, adding: ”Tried it last night, have a lovely tan this morning.”
Another reckoned: ”Looks like bondi sands tanning milk.”
”I used the spray once and it worked when I woke next morning didn’t expect it too with it being cheap,” a fourth penned.
