I’m a body language expert – Love Island’s Jessy has spotted clues Grace DOES still fancy Joey
LOVE Island’s Jessy Potts fears things aren’t over between Joey Essex and Grace Jackson, a body language expert has insisted.
Jessy is coupled up with Joey after he dumped Grace following her arrival in the Love Island villa as a bombshell.
But a tense challenge earlier this week saw warring exes Grace and Joey involved in a huge bust-up.
Speaking to Spin Genie, body language expert Darren Stanton said: “Jessy felt stuck in the middle between Joey and Grace during the challenge.
“She felt uncomfortable. She displayed facial expressions of fear and became rather defensive about her friendship with Grace.
“Deep down, she thinks Grace and Joey might not be over completely. She found it hard to speak up as they took over.”
Darren also thinks Grace and Joey – who enjoyed a brief romance last year before entering the villa – will get back together, meaning bad news for Jessy.
He said: “Grace still likes Joey. We call it the Law of Reversal Effect, which means you say one thing and non-verbally say another.
“Non-verbally Grace is smiling and seems to be enjoying the attention, so that’s causing Jessy some sort of confusion. Grace’s reaction showed joy and excitement.
“Her eyes were open wide and she couldn’t hide her feelings of pure happiness. It’s as though she wanted people to be speaking about her and Joey.”
The row during Game, Set, Match kicked off when Grace was asked to declare which boy she would couple up with if she was not dating Reuben.
Grace opted to pick Josh but this move triggered Joey.
“I feel like if Grace was being totally honest she would’ve written my name,” Joey said.
Blasting the former Towie star, one viewer said: “Joey is OBSESSED with grace. It’s actually very creepy now.”
Another added: “The way Joey was staring at Grace…. Whatever that means!”
A third penned: “Joey is obsessed with Grace. The way he was behaving is so odd the freak.”
Love Island series 11 - feuds in the villa
No edition of Love Island is complete without its fair share of drama - and series 11 is no different. Here's a look at some of the most fiery feuds so far.
- Joey Essex & Samantha Kenny: Samantha entered the villa on Day 1 and was initially coupled with Sam Taylor. However, Samantha was ‘stolen’ by Joey, the first bombshell of series 11. She was ‘dumped’ on Day 16 – with the make-up artist saying she had been brutally snubbed by Joey in the villa – although it never made it to air.
- Matilda Draper & Jess White: While Matilda arrived as a bombshell on Day 12, Jess was part of the original line-up. The two clashed in Casa Amor, over Jess’ frustration that Matilda was talking to new hunk Hugo Godfroy – who Jess previously snogged.
- Harriet Blackmore & Jess White: The two women were caught up in a love triangle for much of their time on the programme. The pair were fighting over Ronnie Vint, 27, from Greenwich, who wound up being dumped alongside Harriett.
