Home sales are picking up clearly in Uusimaa, says regional lender

HOME SALES in Uusimaa, the most populous region in Finland, are showing clear signs of picking up, according to a market review by the regional branch of OP Financial Group.

The Federation of Real Estate Agency (KVKL) has published statistics indicating that the sales of old dwellings in the capital region increased by 21 per cent quarter-on-quarter between April and June. Buyers were drawn especially to the districts of Lauttasaari, Kallio and Punavuori in Helsinki, and Tapiola in Espoo.
