AirPods Pro drop to all-time low of £179 as Amazon Prime Day kicks off with a bang

AMAZON is kicking off Prime Day with a stellar deal on some of the most highly sought-after wireless earphones on the market.

The retail giant has slashed the price of the Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation) by 22%, bringing it to an all-time low of £179.

Amazon‘s legendary sale event, Prime Day, has finally kicked off, and the site has some fantastic deals on a massive range of items – now is the perfect time to pick up the tech you’ve been eyeing.

Amazon is clearly pulling out all the stops to get you excited about the sale.

The last time we saw these earphones on sale was in February. However, they were £189 back then – and now they’re a tenner cheaper.

Apple‘s AirPods Pro 2nd gen are some of the most sought-after wireless headphones out there, even beating the current 3rd generations in most cases.

In fact, shoppers on Amazon seem to agree since I spotted this deal on Amazon’s best-selling in-ear headphones, claiming the crown with the number 1 spot.

The 22% price drop isn’t the only impressive thing about these wireless earphones.

One of the standout features of the second-generation AirPods is the top-notch noise cancellation, which builds upon the success of the first generation.

The noise cancellation feature essentially listens to the audio around you, creating an anti-noise that blocks out ambient sounds so you can stay immersed in your soundtrack or audiobook.

On the other hand, you have Active Transparency mode, which allows you to stay in touch with the outside world.

This mode is especially useful if you want to stay alert while listening to your favourite album.

For those who don’t like constantly pausing music, there’s also Conversational Awareness.

This means that whenever the AirPods detect you’re in a conversation, they will automatically lower your music until the end of the chat.

I have to admit, I’ve been lucky enough to get my hands on the AirPods Pro 2 before and have an in-depth review for a pair of refurbished AirPod Pro 2nd generation.

If you’re not interested in the Apple brand, Amazon also currently has the Beats Studio Buds on sale for 41% less, taking the price down from £159.99 to just £94.99.
