Amazon's famed Prime Day event has commenced, and it's one of the events of the year to pick up the best Apple MacBook deals and snag a laptop for less than full price.
MacBook laptops can enjoy deals here and there throughout the year, but Prime Day offers the best guarantee of a deal if not the best deal. Right now, you can take $200 off the new 13-inch MacBook with the M3 processor or grab the latest M3 Pro 16-inch MacBook Pro model at an all-time low price.

This Prime Day, MacBook laptop deals are similar to those we see throughout the year — it's rare that Apple products get a truly significant deal, especially those the company still sells. But it's still possible! We'll be constantly checking for the best MacBook deals. For now, there's the M2 13-inch MacBook Air going for $999, which is 17% off of its full price. The M3 14-inch MacBook Pro is also enjoying a 13% deal down to $1,399, which adds a larger, better display than the MacBook Air, as well as a bump in performance thanks to a cooling fan.
How to pick the right MacBook
There are a lot of MacBook laptops available to buy, and you can generally buy one that fits your budget and be happy. They're all excellent machines that will do just about everything you want from them. As you start getting into MacBook models with performance processors, like the M3 Pro and M3 Max, it'll do everything you want, but faster and better.

If you're looking for ultimate value, Apple still sells the M2 MacBook Air, which introduced Apple's long-overdue design refresh to the MacBook Air series. Despite running an older M2 processor, it's still incredibly capable — more so than many may realize.
Creative professionals who edit videos and do other visually intensive work will greatly benefit from the M3 Pro and M3 Max processors in the MacBook Pro series, not only for the extra processing but also for extra RAM and storage. These are significantly more expensive than the MacBook Air series, but they're worthwhile expenditures when serious heavy-duty workloads are part of your day-to-day. Larger MacBook Pros with 16-inch displays are also available, starting with the M3 Pro processor.
