Headboard System is a minimalist headboard created by Copenhagen-based designer Matteo Fogale for ReFramed, launched during this year’s 3daysofdesign. The Headboard System showcases an upholstered headboard mounted on a naturally anodized aluminum profile. This combination offers a sleek and modern foundation for any bedroom setting. The aluminum rail is extruded to allow for future enhancements, demonstrating ReFramed’s dedication to ongoing innovation and adaptability. The system is designed to be flatpacked and easy to assemble, ensuring convenience for users. It is available in premium textiles from Kvadrat Raf Simons and Sahco, allowing it to complement any interior decor.
The upholstery is removable, making it possible to dry clean and easily re-fit, ensuring long-term maintenance and cleanliness. Crafted and shipped with sustainability in mind, the headboard exemplifies ReFramed’s commitment to responsible production. Moreover, the headboard is designed with a future-proof approach, with plans for additional products to enhance the system later this year. Matteo Fogale, the designer, shared his vision for the Headboard System, stating, “The comfort that this will provide and not only when leaning back on the soft, inclined backrest but also once we add all the accessories to make our surrounding items accessible and positioned just at the right spot where we need them. I’m looking forward to seeing the system evolve; it has the potential to become a new typology of furniture we cannot live without.”
