Enabling environment creation to expedite EFTA goals: India & Switzerland

During his visit to Switzerland, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal met Swiss Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin to discuss enhancing trade and investment ties under the India-European Free Trade Association (EFTA) Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA). They emphasized the importance of a focused approach to achieve the $100 billion investment target and the creation of one million jobs in India by EFTA countries in the next 15 years. Switzerland is India’s 20th largest trading partner, with bilateral trade reaching $21 billion in 2023.
