I feel sick to my stomach over the sub I found in my boyfriend’s email – my best friend didn’t know he was watching her
AFTER looking through her boyfriend’s emails, one woman found more information than she bargained for.
She had been dating him for over six years before making the discovery.
A 26-year-old Redditor has explained the gut-wrenching moment when she found an odd subscription in her boyfriend’s email (stock photo)[/caption]Redditor Haireyscomet, 26, recounted the experience in a post on the social media platform.
She said her 30-year-old boyfriend purchased an adult subscription without her knowledge — and this particular one hit too close to home.
“I unfortunately found this out while going through an old email account I’ve never seen,” she said.
She said that about one year ago she was introduced to a friend who turned out to be a mutual.
The girlfriend said their hangouts became regular, often bringing her boyfriend along.
WHAT WENT WRONG?
She soon realized that her boyfriend had been using an alias to consume her friend’s NSFW content.
“I feel sick to my stomach knowing I brought who I thought was my loyal boyfriend over to my friend’s house to hang, when in reality he has seen her naked body without me ever knowing,” she said.
“To make it worse my friend would give him more attention than me at times.”
She added that she felt completely crushed by the situation, but her friend wasn’t fully aware.
“I hung out with her tonight,” the Redditor said in the comments.
“I didn’t discuss anything and just hung out normally without him.
“I’m not planning on dropping her, I don’t believe she was aware of it.
“I’m more than likely mistaking her friendliness for flirtation because she’s definitely more into women.”
CAUGHT IN THE ACT
The Redditor said she confronted her boyfriend about the now-deleted adult account to no avail.
“[My boyfriend] is just denying it happened at all and refusing to tell me,” she said.
“He’s just wanting me to forget it and chalking it down to me being insecure.
“I know what I saw and he’s making me feel crazy. Just because her account is deleted, doesn’t mean it never happened.
“I just don’t get why he can’t tell me when I asked calmly. I feel so confused.”
Other Redditors chimed in to give their two cents on the situation.
“If you’re waiting for him to admit wrongdoing, you’ll be waiting forever no matter how you approached it. Good luck,” one wrote.
“He’s not worth getting confused or spending brain power over. If I were you, I’d dump him without explanation,” another added.
“This is called gaslighting and it’s a form of psychological abuse. I’m sorry this is happening. You deserve better,” said a third.
