UGC launches project to develop 22,000 books in Indian languages

The Ministry of Education and UGC initiated ASMITA to produce 22,000 books in 22 Indian languages within five years. With the collaboration of Sanjay Murthy, Jagadesh Kumar, 13 nodal universities, Bharatiya Bhasha Samiti, and CIIL, the project aims to promote Indian languages. The SOP covers nodal officer identification, manuscript review, plagiarism check, proof-reading, designing, and e-publication.
