Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is set to leave Tottenham

While it has been an open secret for a while that Hojbjerg will leave Spurs this summer, the question of where he will end up is no closer to being answered than it was at the start of the window.

The likes of AC Milan (TuttoMercatoWeb), Atletico Madrid (Mundo Deportivo) and Borussia Dortmund (Football Insider) have all allegedly expressed interest in the 28-year-old over recent weeks.

Meanwhile, reports from Turkey have continued to suggest that Fenerbahce and Galatasaray have also both reached out to Spurs over a deal for Hojbjerg, with the two Istanbul rivals said to be quite keen on securing the Denmark international’s services (Takvim).

Galatasaray want Hojbjerg this summer

Hatipoglu has now confirmed that Galatasaray have spoken to the Tottenham man, who has made it clear that he will only make a decision after assessing all the options.

When asked about the former Southampton man, the Turkish club’s vice-chairman said (via CNN Turk): “Hojbjerg is a very good player. He has many suitors.

“He says he wants to decide after seeing all the options. It may take more time than others.”

By the sounds of it, Hojbjerg is not close to a transfer at the moment and is expected to take a few more weeks to finalise a move.

That is not ideal for Tottenham, who will be keen to make space in their wage bill for new arrivals.
