Police: Albany man arrested for grand larceny, identity theft
CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- State Police have arrested an Albany man for allegedly using a credit card without authorization to purchase more than $1,000 of merchandise at two store locations. Juan Fuente Ramirez, 30, was charged with identity theft and two counts of grand larceny.
Troopers say they received a complaint from a Clifton Park business on June 24 claiming Fuente Ramirez purchased merchandise with an unauthorized credit card in June, resulting in him stealing the merchandise. Troopers reported that their investigation revealed Fuente Ramirez also fraudulently purchased items from the same business at its Glens Falls location.
Fuente Ramirez is accused of stealing over $1,000 in merchandise from each business. He was issued appearance tickets from the Halfmoon Town Court for July 31 and the Glens Falls City Court for August 6 before being released.
