Person stabbed in the East Village, officials say
EAST VILLAGE, Manhattan (PIX11) – A person was stabbed in the East Village Tuesday morning, according to the FDNY.
The FDNY responded to a report of a person stabbed around 10:55 a.m. on St. Marks Place between First and Second Avenues.
The person was rushed to an area hospital in stable condition, sources told PIX11 News.
The stabbing happened at a youth shelter, and a 19-year-old was taken into custody, according to sources.
