'Yelling' RNC delegates riled up as Kari Lake spits venom at reporters: 'Worn out welcome'

MAGA Republican Senate Hopeful Kari Lake slammed the media at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday, pointing to news sections as she said, "You've worn out your welcome!"

Prior to bashing the news outlets covering the convention, Lake, who is running for Arizona governor, praised the crowd for its "MAGA energy" and said she wished other Republicans could be at the convention as well.

"This is electric," she said to applause.

As she welcomed the crowd, Lake said, "We love you all!"

Well, not everyone, it seems.

"Actually, actually, wait a minute — I don't mean that. I don't welcome everyone in this room. The guys up in the fake news," she said to cheers, "frankly ... you guys up there in the fake news have worn out your welcome. Right?"

After the crowd cheered, she said the media spent the last eight years "lying about President Donald J. Trump and his amazing, patriotic supporters."

"Actually," said Lake, "they lie about everything. They've lied about Joe Biden's health, the economy, the laptop, the border, I could go on and on and on. But the good news is, every day, more and more people are turning off the fake news."

Lake's remarks come after she recently lost an appeals court challenge in her state after she said thousands of mailed ballot signatures in the Phoenix area were improperly verified when she lost the 2022 governor election to Democrat Katie Hobbs.

Lake lost that election by more than 17,000 votes, but never conceded.

After her comment, media personality Frank Luntz said he was on the media platform as she attacked the media.

"Convention goers are yelling at the people around me – it’s a really strange experience," he noted.
