'What is up with Marco Rubio’s mouth?' Republican's oddly moving lips distract from speech

Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio is once again being asked the tough questions from the internet — what's going on with that weird lip thing?

The former GOP presidential candidate and a loser of this year's so-called "veepstakes" took the stage late Tuesday at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee to stump for former President Donald Trump, a man he once called a “con artist” who sought to perpetrate “the biggest scam in American political history."

And as Rubio made the case for MAGA, a distracted internet couldn't quite hear him over his lips moving.

"What is up with Marco Rubio’s mouth? He keeps pulling his bottom lip in when he finishes a thought," wrote @mokrisrags on X, formerly Twitter.

"What is that weirdness that Marco Rubio does with his mouth after every statement he makes?" asked @YoungbloodRenee.

"What’s the thing Marco Rubio does with his mouth after each sentence?" questioned @PobreDods.

"Right!! I was just asking that!" replied @mokrisrags.

"WTH is going on with Marco Rubio’s mouth?! After he says something his mouth keeps moving without sound as if he’s mouthing words silently after what he says out loud…" wrote @BlairMerritt48.

This isn't the first time the internet has openly wondered what's going on with Rubio's mouth.

In 2013, Marco Rubio's "water bottle" moment gained fame, even making it onto ABC News with George Stephanopoulos. While giving the 2013 GOP response to the State of the Union, he reached for a bottle of water multiple times.

A chuckling Rubio said, "I needed water, what are you going to do? It happens. God has a funny way of reminding us we're human."
