2024 MLB All-Star Game: Open Thread
The Midsummer Classic takes place tonight in Arlington
Tonight is the MLB All-Star Game. It’s going to be a quiet one for Mariners fans, who will only have a possible Andrés Muñoz appearance to look forward to, with Logan Gilbert unable to pitch after giving his best on Sunday only to be rewarded by one of the stinkiest offensive performances of the season. Appropriately, no Mariners hitters will be recognized at the All-Star Game, which is just, but also pretty boring for us as a fanbase.

These two groups seem pretty evenly matched to me, although I’m suspicious of Vlad’s hand injury. Overall, though, I feel like the AL has more consistency in the starting lineup while the NL squad is a bit more boom-or-bust. What do you think?
The NL snapped a nine-game losing streak last year and will look to continue to even up the record, where the AL leads 47-44 (with two ties).
Game time is 5 PT on FOX, although coverage has begun now on both FOX and MLB Network.
Prompt for the comments: which NL squad member would you most love to have as a Mariner, and why?
