Yamal’s mother, Sheila Ebana, is from Guinea.
His parents give Lamine the eligibility to represent either Morocco or Guinea at the national level.
Nasrouri is known for actively celebrating his son’s achievements on social media, sharing pride in Lamine’s journey as a footballer.

What do Lamine Yamal’s parents do for a living?
Sheila Ebana is a waitress after she migrated from Guinea to Spain.
His father Mounir Nasraoui, is also a migrant from Morocco, and used to work as a building painter.
Mounir Nasrouri also played soccer, but his inability to turn professional left him juggling various jobs to make ends meet.
While it’s unclear how he met Sheila Ebana, their love blossomed, and they married soon after.
Their family was completed with the birth of their son, Lamine Yamal, on July 13, 2007.
Unfortunately, their union didn’t last long, and Mounir and Sheila parted ways just three years later.
After her divorce, she moved away and signed Lamine up for Club de Futbol La Torretta in the nearby town of Granollers, where he began his football journey.
“My mother is afraid for me when I start, but she supports me a lot!”, Lamine Yamal told Barca Universal.
His father told The Telegraph about his son: “You cannot imagine how proud I am of my son.
“I always knew that he would achieve what he has.
“I had total faith. And I have faith that he could go all the way and be greater than Messi.”
