Indian national among six people killed in Oman mosque shooting

Six, including an Indian national, four Pakistanis, and one policeman, were killed in an Islamic State attack near Muscat's Shia Imam Ali Mosque, injuring 28 others. Oman's Foreign Ministry reported the incident on July 15. The Indian Embassy expressed condolences and offered assistance. Security forces killed three attackers in the al-Wadi al-Kabir area. Shia are a minority.
