Fate of beloved ITV game show with celebrity hosts finally revealed by bosses
THE future of a beloved ITV game show has been confirmed by bosses.
Having launched back in October 2022, the programme has already aired two series.
Riddiculous, hosted by journalist and presenter Ranvir Singh, will be returning for a third series.
The game show’s imminent return was unveiled in a social media update.
Taking to X, a statement from the show read: “#Riddiculous news!
“We’re back for Series 3 and looking for teams of two who love to solve a riddle and want the chance to win an exciting cash prize!
“Filming in Manchester in September 2024.”
The format sees three teams of two tackling general knowledge questions.
After giving three correct answers, they must then face a riddle from “The Riddlemaster” – actor and playwright Henry Lewis.
At the end of the first round, the lowest scoring team after four riddles is eliminated.
Round two sees the remaining teams tasked with picking among three visual multiple choice riddles from descriptions such as animals, letters or numbers.
Only one member of each pair can answer the riddle and they have 60 seconds to do so.
By the conclusion of round three, the team with the higher score goes through to the final once three riddles have been posed.
To win their prize, the remaining team must answer six rebus riddles – a combination of pictures and letters – in Henry’s Riddle Run.
They also have the choice to attempt a ‘double or nothing’ riddle, for which they have 20 seconds to answer.
If answered incorrectly, however, the finalists would risk losing all the money in their bank.
Away from Riddiculous’, host Ranvir is also known as a newsreader and presenter for Good Morning Britain, which is also on ITV.
In 2020, she competed in Strictly Come Dancing where she was partnered with Giovanni Pernice, but they became the seventh couple to be eliminated.
The 46-year-old is also a relief host for Lorraine, alongside Christine Lampard.
