Our beautiful park was left covered in litter & human POO after 30 caravans took over – it’s outrageous & an eyesore
A TRAIL of nappies, litter and human poo was left at a park after a group of caravans took over.
Between 20 and 30 motor homes vacated Tremorvah Playing Fields in Truro, Cornwall, at the weekend.
They were forced to move after the city council served an eviction notice.
Richard Budge, the head of parks services at Truro City Council, claimed no damage or vandalism had been reported on the field.
But he had received many emails and messages from concerned local residents.
And several workers from the council’s waste contractor were seen clearing up hoards of rubbish and human faeces on Sunday.
One resident said he had to pick up nappies and toilet paper.
He told CornwallLive: “Cormac are on the case and are picking up the litter and human faeces off of Tremorvah Playing Field. It might have to be finished off on Monday.
“The Tesco trolley picture is the rubbish I collected before BIFFA arrived. One full bin liner of soiled nappies and toilet paper.
“The area immediately outside my back gate had over 20 piles of human faeces. With BIFFA not due until today, I picked it up before the rain-soaked it into the soil.”
A large amount of branches and wood was also left abandoned on the playing fields.
Cornwall Council has been approached for comment.
