PC gamers can snatch one of the best Assassin’s Creed games at a whopping 85% off – hurry up

IT’S the time of summer sales on video games, and although Steam’s massive discounts are over, there are still great deals to be had.

PC gamers can grab one of the best Assassin’s Creed games at its lowest-ever price, saving 85%.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is selling at just £7.49 / $8.99 on Steam right now, which is the lowest recorded price for the game on Valve’s storefront.

With a very respectable 85 rating on review aggregator Metacritic, Origins is among the top five Assassin’s Creed games of all time.

Set in ancient Egypt, the game was a major departure from previous games in the series, and it set the standard for the next modern Assassin’s Creed titles like Odyssey and Valhalla.

You play as Bayek, Egypt’s last Medjay, a protector of his hometown of Siwa, as you explore the origin story of the Assassin Brotherhood.

With the new setting and story, Assassin’s Creed Origins brought a new combat system and gameplay mechanics, also opting for much bigger open worlds than the dense city maps the series was known for.

Origin’s gorgeous version of Ancient Egypt still holds up to this day, even though the game was released back in 2017.

If adventuring as Bayek is not your thing, you can even dive into a virtual Discovery Tour of Egypt included with the game.

The tour lets you visit some of the most iconic landmarks, such as the Pyramids of Giza, and learn about their history.

The base game will give you between 30 and 50 hours of gameplay, depending on your playstyle and how much of a completionist you are.

If that’s not enough, the game’s Gold Edition is also on sale at 85% off, and it includes access to two major expansion packs.

The Hidden Ones and The Curse of the Pharaohs are some of the best DLC packs in the series, so spending the extra quid to top up the base game is definitely worth it.

PC gamers have until July 21, 2024, to grab this deal before the game reverts to its usual price of $59.99.

Origins often goes on sale on Steam, but it has never been cheaper, so the current deal is the perfect time to jump on the game that reimagined the series.
