I paid £115 for a family holiday at Haven caravan – we got all the entertainment, but everyone’s saying the same thing

A MUM has shared the amazing offer she landed when bagging a family caravan holiday for £115 – but people are all saying the same thing.

With summer now here in full swing, many Brits have been enjoying a relaxing holiday with their families – and mum Siobhan is no exception, booking a caravan stay for her brood.

The mum took to TikTok show viewers what the caravan looked like

The Londoner paid £155 for a four-night stay at Haven Holidays in Filey, North Yorkshire – and claimed that the bargain offer also included entertainment passes.

Chuffed with the fabulous deal, the mum, who posts under the username @siobhan_am, also took her TikTok viewers along the journey, proudly sharing where the family was staying.

When booking their time away in the coastal town, the mum opted for the Savers Caravan, which came with an attached sticker by the front to door to show that the premises had been cleaned and were ready for the holiday goers.

Upon entering, she showed in the video, the family had an open kitchen area which was connected to the mini living space.

The kitchen came with all the essentials, including a sink, a stove, a small fridge and what also appeared to be a microwave on the top.

Meanwhile, the open living room – which had a massive window to let daylight in – featured a comfy sofa, as well as a round table and a smaller TV attached to the wall.

What’s more, she soon discovered, the caravan also came with central heating – although she wasn’t sure if this was an upgrade.

After opening the bathroom door for a second, the mum then moved onto showing the two bedrooms, one of which came with two twin beds that appeared to have messy bedsheets.

But although Siobhan said she preferred the Savers option the Bronze Caravan they had stayed in beforehand, people online were saying the same thing – the beds hadn’t been cleaned and set up properly.

Dozens of eagle-eyed viewers flocked to comments to share their thoughts, with one professional coming back with a brutal verdict.

”As a hotel room cleaner The beds look like they’ve been slept in.”

Another agreed, adding: ”Those sheets were not changed girl.”

”Beds are shockingly made,” a third remarked.

Why caravan holidays are so underrated

CARAVAN park holidays are a British staple.

And with the cost of living crisis wreaking havoc on Britain’s purses, more of us are turning to them for an affordable break.

Josie O’Brien, Senior Digital Writer on Fabulous, weighs in on why she thinks caravan holidays are seriously underrated…

WHEN I was a child, my mum used to collect the £9.50 holiday vouchers in The Sun.

She’d use them to book a couple of nights away at a caravan park during the school holidays.

As an adult, I fully appreciate the convenience of a humble caravan holiday.

No faffing about with passports, no luggage limits and no bog-standard hotel breakfast of stale toast and grey eggs.

I still love caravan holidays as an adult.

In a world of doing everything for the ‘gram, a caravan park brings you back to basics.

There’s no obligation to get dressed up, no stress to fit a million picturesque excursions in one week and I don’t find myself flustered in tourist hot spots like abroad.

I love going to coastal caravan parks and strolling along the beach parade.

My highlight is always fresh mussels, ice-creams and classic pubs to grab an afternoon tipple in.

And then, of course, there’s the cost.

Staying in a caravan is definitely way cheaper than my international trips.

With no expensive hotel bills and the ability to cook my own meals, I’m spending hundreds less than I would abroad.

I’ve had some of my best and most relaxing holidays in caravans. Maybe I’ll buy my own one day.

After taking the internet by storm, Siobhan confessed that she wasn’t amazed by the state of the bedroom either, adding they’d come with a grim surprise on top.

”I wasn’t impressed as also had hair on but we didn’t use that room.”

The mum, who’s also been advised to issue a complaint, said that ”luckily” she had brought her own sheets.

Replying to a viewer, who said they may have stayed in the exact same caravan, Siobhan revealed that there were more nasty discoveries.

”Beds in one room was minging and hole in door.

”But apart from that was OK and exactly as seen here.”
